Modern tents are far different from the tents produced by the desert tribes. In addition to having a greater variety of styles and uses, they have many more conveniences. Tents now have fiberglass screen windows, sewed-in floors, lightweight metal poles and storm flaps. Some tents are made of an aluminized fabric that reflects the sun's heat and keeps the inside of the tent cooler during hot weather. These conveniences have helped make the tent the center of many outdoor recreational avtivities. However, it should be remembered that a strong wind-storm can blow a tent over. It is also a wise precaution to avoid touching the sides or top of the tent during storm.



It shouldn't be forgotten that a tent ........

A) can be destroyed by a wind-storm even if the wind doesn't blow severely
B) should be made of an aluminized fabric, so that it will be more durable
C) can be used for entertainment as well as being a shelter
D) can easily be ruined if you touch the sides
E) must be heavy so as to protect it from being blown over by the storms
